
Gary Stager, Adjunct Professor of Education, Pepperdine University, California USA
For 22 years, Gary Stager has helped learners of all ages across the globe embrace the
power of computers as intellectual laboratories and vehicles for self-expression. He
led professional development in the world's first laptop schools (1990), designed
online graduate school programs since the mid-90s and is a collaborator in the MIT
Media Lab's Future of Learning Group.
Mr. Stager's doctoral research involved work with Seymour Papert in the creation of a
high-tech alternative learning environment for incarcerated at-risk teens. He is
Editor-At- Large of District Administration Magazine, Adjunct Professor at Pepperdine
University, author of the monthly feature "Exceeding Expectations" for Apple Computer
and an Associate of the Thornburg Center for Professional Development. In 1999,
Converge Magazine named Gary a "shaper of our future and inventor of our destiny."

Paul Papageorge, Senior Director, Education Marketing, Apple Computer
Paul Papageorge is senior director of Education Marketing for Apple. His team is responsible for creating and implementing
marketing strategies directed toward the education market to generate demand for Apple's world class solutions, including 1 to
1 laptop programs for schools. Papageorge came to Apple in 2002 after holding executive posts at USWeb/CKS, where he managed
the European operation, and VA Linux Systems, where he was in charge of Marketing. Prior to working at USWeb/CKS, Papageorge
held several important consumer and business-to-business marketing roles at Apple. Papageorge received a Bachelor of Science
Degree in Marketing from San Francisco State University School of Business, and is founder of the San Francisco Marketing
Club, a chapter of the American Marketing Association.
